A Diamond in the Buff

For years I’ve gone from pillar to post trying to improve myself. I was in a starter home. A fixer upper. I was under construction so much I needed a building permit. Always in search of the next book, the next DVD, class or teacher because I thought it took a village to raise a neurotic.

“One Funny Lady” Deborah Kimmett tackles serious topic: Talking to the sick

Proceeds from Feb. 5 event will fund educational video

NAPANEE—Local comedian Deborah to help raise funds for the project. Kimmett is well known for her hilarious stand-up routines, witty motivational speeches and humorous writing.

Now she’s using her comedic talents to tackle a serious topic that affects everyone—how to talk to people who are seriously ill.

Through her educational video “Talking to Sick People”, Deborah’s goal is to help professional caregivers, volunteers and family members communicate more effectively with those who aren’t well. A night of comedy and music starring Deborah—“One Funny Lady”—is being held at the Napanee Lions Hall on February
