The Spice Up Your Biz Event–was peppered with some great folk.

Posted by & filed under Talks, Workshops.

About 14 people from Napanee, Tamworth and Kingston and Belleville, came to this Spice up Your Biz event hosted by Doghouse Studios in Napanee.

The attendees ran the gamut of  store owners that sell pet supplies, beachwear, trophies and storage,. Folks came who offered services like financial planning,  amazing art design,  cleaning, web editing, massage, and writing services.

All  in attendance enjoying the just desserts of Ellena’s Cafe.

(Ellena generously donated some tasty bits of sweets as did Cris Vilela who offered his new Doghouse Studios as the amazing new venue. Check these local folks out)

The whole premise was to get people talking to each other and find a better way to transmit what they do out to the world.

If you don’t tell your clients what you do regularly how do they know what you offer.

As well we discovered some new ways to make social media work for people’s biz vision.

Tip for the day: For most folk they get worried about the platforms (should I use FB, Twitter, Linked In) instead of creating a plan to use the social media to launch and support the biz vision.

(one great blog for this is on socialcatalyst.com-they have great ideas)

We all learned a bit, I told some funny stories and did some comedic chiro on their business brains. Then we went home to ruminate.

If you missed it we are putting one on for Kingston in January. Look for announcement!

P.S There is a pdf version of the nigh with tons of motivation,  online resources, funny stories and ideas to keep you inspired.
